Swish has secured its third high-profile gaming client in a little over a month after striking a deal with Videoslots.com for the online casino operator’s Swedish players.

The deal, which follows similar agreements with both LeoVegas and Mr Green, will help Malta-based Videoslots to strengthen its position within the re-regulated Swedish market.

Following this re-regulation of the Swedish gambling market, which came into force on 1 January 2019, Videoslots said that it has been working closely with banks and local payment services, with this deal the latest step in that process.

Swish, launched seven years ago in cooperation with the Central Bank of Sweden, is currently the favoured payment service in Sweden with 6.7 million active users and 180,000 connected businesses.

The mobile payment system works via a smartphone application, through which the user’s phone number is connected to their bank account.

Alexander Stevendahl, CEO at Videoslots.com, said: “Swish is Sweden’s most popular payment method, and it will help us cater to even more players in a fast and cost effective manner.

“We’re always looking for ways to grow our customer base and brand by making depositing quick and simple, and this integration will help us do exactly that.”
