The San Francisco Giants will head to Overstock.com Coliseum for the 2nd one of this 3-game series against the Oakland Athletics, coming from a good opener for the Giants where, even though they been held down to 1 run by the A`s starter Trevor Cahill they still found to take it in extra innings by 2-1. San Francisco Giants, 25-19, leading the NL West, having a good run at the moment, going on a 3-game winning streak with the win yesterday and the sweep over the Los Angeles Dodgers on road in a 2-game series. Today they will bring their young ace, righty Tim Lincecum, 3-4, 2.36 ERA with very good results in the past against Oakland of 4-0, 1.45 ERA. Oakland Athletics, 22-23, 3rd in the AL West after being sweeped at home by the Twins they have lost now their 3rd game in a row. The starting pitcher for this 2nd game for the home side will be left-hander Brett Anderson, 2-3, 3.30 ERA who has pitched only 4.0 innings against the Giants and got a very week 0-1, 13.50 ERA. Even though Lincecum is coming after a loss I think his record against the A`s will be decisive in keeping them lower than his team to get him another "W". My pick in this meeting in which the San Francisco Giants could prolong it to 4 straight wins is for them to win it by 2 or more run, having to face a pitcher which they demolished last time they met him (that was in 2009 when the Giants bumped him out in 4.0 innings, not before getting 6 runs on 8 hits, all earned)
