One of the few french players left in the competition Marion Bartoli will play today against Julia Goerges. The two players met only once untill Roland Garos and that happened last year at Wimbledon where Marion Bartoli wn in two sets 6-4, 6-3. At that time Julia Goerges had not yet achieved the level of play she is at today. Another important thing is that at Wimbledon the surface was grass and now they are playing on clay. Before Roland Garos Marion Bartoli entered the tournament in Strasbourg where she managed to reach the final after dismissing Date Krumm,ELena Baltacha, Lucie Hradecka, Anabel Garrigues, and in the final she lost to german Andrea Petkovic after loosing the first set 4-6 she retired in the second at 0-1. Julia Goerges last torunament was in Madrid where she reached the semifinals where she lost to Victoria Azarenka 2-6, 4-6. Goerges growed a lot this year and in Stuttgart she beat Caroline Wozniacki in the final , managing the same thing one week later in Madrid. Julia is on high horses right now and she should win this i think in 2 sets
