Vandeweghe C. vs Savchuk O.

Coco Vandeweghe was scheduled to play the Slovak Dominika Cibulkova in the 2nd round but Cibulkova was forced to withdraw via injury so Vandewghe gets easier opponent and will be playing against Olga Savchuk in today's match. Savchuk has been playing very poorly lately and was a LL in this tournament after going out in qualies. She first did beat Rosolska but then lost to Grandin in three sets. Vandeweghe with massive motivation this week, has to defend quarter final points from San Diego of last year so lots of good reasons for her to perform well. Of course she's playing at home and that is another nice incentive. She has had one match against Olga Savchuk in the history and it was very good result as she  beat Savchuk in straight sets with comfortable 6-2, 6-2 score this year in Melbourne and if we look at the current form, Vandeweghe should win easy again.
