Pretty unexpected results in 16th rounds in ATP Erste Bank Open, considering that the number 3 favorite, Feliciano Lipez and favorite number 5, Lukas Rosol were eliminated, as well as Robin Haase, the one who won last year’s tournament. For today, we offer one point for the following matches: Phillipp Kohlschreiber – Benjamin Becker, David Ferrer – Ivo Karlovic and Victor Troicki – Thomas Bellucci.

Philipp Kohlschreiber – Benjamin Becker >>> Kohlschreiber wins
The tennis player which brought us a correct tip two days ago, won against Carlos Berlocq in 16th rounds, ind it is the one in whom we trust the most today, in a match against Benjamin Becker. The odds for Kohlschreiber’s win we think that needs to be questioned, given the fact that he managed to win against Beaker on hard indoor, in their single direct meeting with 6-3, 6-4, last year. Meantime, Kohlschreiber proved that he feels excellent at this tournament, managing in to reach the semifinals in 2009, and in 2010 the quarterfinals rounds, while Becker is at his first participation at Vienna tournament. Becker is missing serve for this type of court, while Kohlschreiber not only that serves pretty good, but his backhand is also good. We believe that this match will have Kohlschreiber as winner.

David Ferrer – Ivo Karlovic >>> Over 10.5 games in the first set
Two of the favorites of this tournament, David Ferrer (fav.1) and Ivo Karlovic (fav.6) meet for a place in the semifinals. David Ferrer hopes to keep his status and play the final this year, but he will have a tough mission against Ivo Karlovic. In 16th rounds, Ferrer passed Kamke, in two sets, but the first set was pretty balanced, won by the Spanish with 7-5. On the other hand, Ivo had to play against Delbonis in the first tour, and wasn’t an easy mission for him, but he won the match. In the 16th rounds he won against Jurgen Melzer. For this match we bet on at least 12 games for the first set, considering that in all 3 direct matches between this two players, ended with tie-break in the first set, but also because the match is set on a fast court, where a serve like the one of Croatian is hard to be returned, and an offensive like Ferrer’s is hard to beat, and Kalovic doesn’t stand a chance to keep up. If in the match against Kamke, Ferrer put a lot of effort in the first set, we are sure that he will have to give a lot more against Ivo.

Victor Troicki – Thomaz Bellucci >>>>> Troicki wins
Without any defeat in all 5 matches played on hard indoor this year, Victor Troicki (rank 127 ATP) is the favorite, even though Thomaz Bellucci ranks 68. These two players had met 2 times, at Bangkok in 2009, and again in 2012 at Roland GarrosTroicki wining every time. We expect that he will win this time too, considering that he is in a better shape, because he played the qualifying rounds as well, so he now plays easily on this type of court. In the first two stages, Trocki didn’t have any problems playing against Estrella si Rosol, which he defeat in minimum of sets, while Bellucci overcome Mathieu and Feliciano Lopez after 3 sets. Troicki and Bellucci will meet in a match in which we expect that Troicki will win, considering the fact that he wants to rise to the level before he was suspended, and to prove that everything was an error.
