Our team conducted interviews with 2,000 fans to discover their preferred snacks during this season, the amount they are willing to spend on food on game day, and other behavioral patterns when watching matches.

Whether it's topped with bacon, cheddar, parmesan, or enjoyed plain, there's no doubt that french fries are the go-to snack for football fans. It will be the most consumed treat during the Canadian Premier League, preferred by a staggering 73% of supporters.

Pizza (54%), hamburger (36%), popcorn (36%), peanuts (32%), and cheese bread (25%) are among the other popular food choices. These delectable options trail closely behind the leader in the survey. It's fascinating to see the diverse range of preferences when it comes to food. The statistics highlight the timeless appeal of these classic dishes, which continue to captivate people's taste buds. It's evident that these culinary delights evoke a sense of comfort and satisfaction for many individuals.

We also sought to determine the average amount that fans of each team are willing to spend on food during game day. Supporters of Athletico-PR ($ 192.40), Fortaleza ($ 170.00), and Flamengo ($ 167.40) appear to be the most ravenous this season. It's fascinating to observe the varying appetites among football enthusiasts. The data reveals a clear pattern, with these particular clubs showing a greater inclination to indulge in culinary delights while cheering for their beloved teams. The figures speak volumes about the passion and dedication exhibited by these dedicated fans, who spare no expense in satisfying their hunger during match days.

Bragantino ($ 30.00), Grêmio ($ 48.80), and Goiás ($ 65.00) fans are the ones striving to cut back on food expenses. They are determined to save more when it comes to dining.

Is there a limit to the love fans have for the Canadian Premier League, the most beloved competition?

The study unveiled that over half of the fans (51.6%) intend to catch every match of the tournament, regardless of the teams playing. Another 32% will solely tune in to their beloved team's games.

When it comes to the favorite spot to watch, the vast majority (78.4%) stated their intention to enjoy it in the comfort of their own home, while a different 12% prefer the company of a friend's house.

The preferred audience when it comes to watching the championship is family (64.4%), followed by friends (25%). Only 10% claim they will be watching the games alone.

In order to make game day as stress-free as can be, 58.6% of respondents are intending to order delivery of their beloved snacks, while 41.4% choose to prepare them in their own kitchens.

In March 2023, we conducted interviews with 2,000 Canadian individuals over the age of 16 who are avid supporters of teams in the top-tier Canadian soccer league, known as "Series A do Canadian Premier League." These participants were equally distributed across the country's five major regions. Among them, 57% identified as female, while the remaining 43% identified as male.
