Our tip suggestions

Marseille – Reims >>> Victory Marseille

It is true that the odds for an eventual success are not attractive, but we think there are low chances for the guests to win points during this match. In the first place, Marseille have had pretty constant results lately. Marcelo Bielsa’s team won only two points in the last seven away matches, but at home they are unstoppable, having 11 victories in 12 championship matches. The only exception is the first match played of this season in front of their fans. On the other hand, Reims won a single point in the last five stages and we can’t see how they can actually surprise us.

Odds: 1.35
Stake: 10/10

PSG – Caen >>> Caen +1.5

PSG remain behind the leaders, Lyon after tying on their pitch last stage. The team coached by Laurent Blanc was lead from the 31st minute due to N’Jie’s goal, but Ibrahimovicestablished the tie. Now comes a match against Caen which might not be just a simple formality. From a team doomed with the relegation, Caen gathered in the last four stages 12 points, under the condition that they had 15 after the first 20 rounds. Considering that the hosts have low odds for the victory and their last four victories were obtained at a goal margin. We bet that the hosts won’t lose this match.

Odds: 1.98
Stake: 7/10

Lens – Evian >>> Under 2.5 goals

Lens were involved last weekend in a pretty spectacular match against Saint-Etienne (3-3). The “greens” won with the score of 2-0, but they ultimately chanced the score and took over, in the end Erdinç brought the tie for the hosts of that match. Usually, the team coached by Antoine Kombouare doesn’t score much, having only 17 matches with at least two goals scored this season. Half over the matches played by the opponents followed the same pattern. We thus expect for the direct match not to be a spectacular one, especially when the stake is high. Both teams are in the relegation zone of the ranking, on the 18th and 19th place and they might practice a more careful game. We also need to say that Evian scored a single goal in the last four matches.

Odds: 1.64
Stake: 8/10

Lille – Nice >>> Under 2.5 goals

Another match in which we shouldn’t see many goals is the one between Lille and Nice. The hosts of this match won last stage on the pitch of Montpellier with the score of 2-1. The score was 0-2 until the 90th minute, but Dabo’s goal broke a series of eight consecutive of under 2.5 goals. Lille are a pragmatic team, having the smallest goal average from Ligue 1 (1.71) and the most matches with under 25 goals scored (19/24). Nice usually don’t score many goals, but they come from two nil nil draws against Metz and Nantes, so we have all the reasons to predict a match with few goals scored. Plus, the last four direct matches all followed the same pattern. Nice won each time, twice with the score of 1-0 and twice with 2-0.

Odds: 1.49
Stake: 9/10

Monaco – Montpellier >>> Victory Monaco

Monaco suffered last stage an unexpected defeat on Guingamp’s pitch, although they played since the 22nd minute with an extra man. This result broke an incredible series of 14 consecutive matches without receiving a goal. Despite this defeat, we believe the hosts have the potential to recover and win all the three points in the Saturday night. Montpellier come from a defeat on their own pitch against Lille (1-2). In the first leg, Monaco won with the score of 1-0, but the victory goal only came in the 90th minute.

Odds: 1.65
Stake: 8/10

Nantes – Bastia >>> Under 2.5 goals

These two teams are relatively at the same level and we would thus have a balanced match. The hosts are better ranked and they have the advantage of their own pitch, but the opponents are in a better shape. Regardless the result of the match, there shouldn’t be many goals scored. Although they occupy the ninth place in the ranking, Nantes have almost the weakest offense from Ligue 1, only Metz scoring more goals. On the other hand, the “canaries” have a good defense with 23 goals received in 24 matches. On the other hand, Bastia doesn’t impress at all with the offense line, but they have a decent defense. For this reason, the two teams have had up to now 17 and 18 matches with no more than two goals (in 24 stages), which says a lot. It is interesting that in the last three official matches there wasn’t a single goal scored.

Odds: 1.45
Stake: 10/10

Bordeaux – Saint-Etienne >>> Bordeaux (0)

Saint-Etienne have had modest results lately, managing to win a point in the last three stages. The team coached by Galtier obtained a tie last stage against Lens in a spectacular match. The “greens” scored the 2-0 goal in the 57th minute, but 20 minutes later they were lead with 2-3, only to win a point in the end. Bordeaux can take advantage of the opponent’s weaker shape and also of their own pitch to win all the three points at stake. In the last seven direct matches, Bordeaux won three times and lost once, the other three matches ending undecided. Among these is also listed the first leg  match with the score of 1-1. The tip chosen by us is Bordeaux (0), which means that the hosts need to win, but in case of a tie you receive your money back.

Metz – Guingamp >>> Guingamp (0)

Metz are the weakest team from the championship and it seems that they are quickly heading for the second league. We say this thing because the recent results haven’t been encouraging. The last ranked won three points in the last 12 stages and this is due to the nil nil draw. Under these conditions, Guingamp have the chance to leave with all the points from Stade Saint-Symphorien, especially that they are in a good shape. They obtained seven points in the last three rounds and 20 in the last nine. The result from the last stage confirmed the good shape in which Gourvennec’s team is, they winning against Monaco with the score of 1-0, although they played without a man since the 22nd minute. The goal scored by Lévêque in the 51st minute broke a series of 1 matches without a goal received. Thus, in the Sunday match we bet on the victory of the guests just because the odds allow us to do so, we choose a tip with a refundable stake in case of a tie.

Odds: 1.90
Stake: 7/10

Lorient – Lyon >>> Lyon (0)

The leaders, Lyon come from two ties, but it is true that both came in front of strong opponents, Monaco and PSG. These results broke a series of seven consecutive championship matches for Hubert Fournier’s team. Likewise, the goal scored by Ibrahimovic from the penalty was the first one received by Lyon in the last seven matches. On the other hand, Lorient are a team who fight at the relegation line and who usually have oscillating results. They haven’t taken advantage of the home pitch, already suffering five defeats in front of their own fans (4/3/5). This is why we believe that the guests have all the chances to win all the three points at stake. Just to be on the safe side, we bet on a tip with refundable stake in case the match ends undecided.

Odds: 1.55
Stake: 9/10
