France Ligue 1, stage 10 season 2014/2015 – Soccer betting tips

Today, 17 October 2014, starts the 10th stage in first league of France. After 9 rounds we can say that the rank looks pretty surprising, with Marseille on the first position with 22 points. They have 5, and 6 points more than the next two teams in rank, Bordeaux and PSG. Vice-champion Monaco ranks 13 with just 11 points.

Our tip suggestion

  • Lens – Paris SG >>> PSG scores under 2.5 goals

Laurent Blanc’s team had pretty unstable performance this season. Even though they didn’t lost an official match since May 2014. PSG transformed itself in an expert of the draw scores, in the last 4 matches out of the last 5 played in the championship they managed to obtain a score of 1-1. Paris SG showed in the match played against Barcelona from Champions League that they didn’t forget the taste of victory, obtaining an important success with 3-2. The match against Lens is a pretty good ocasion for them to get back on track in the championship. The hosts managed to obtain only two points in the last 5 matches in championship and they are in a position from which they will relegate. Even if they will win this match, we don’t believe that PSG will manage to obtain a certain victory. So we are going to bet on the fact that they will score a maximum of two goals. They managed to score more than two goals only against Saint-Etienne, while Lens didn’t receive more than 2 goals in any match.

  • Lorient – Saint-Etienne >>> Saint-Etienne (0)

After 4 matches lost without scoring, Lorient remembered the taste of victory, managing to win away against Bastia with 2-0. On the other hand, Saint Etien have a pretty bad phase right now, and come after two consecutive defeats in championship. The defeat with 0-1 home against Toulouse was the 4th consecutive match without victory in all competitions. The guests are obvious superior in terms of value and remain one of the favorites for a place in Europa League. The competition brake was probably good for Christophe Galtier’s team, form which we expect to recover and play again like they used to in past couple of years. We will bet on a guests victory this time, with the stake fully returned in case of a draw.

  • Lille – Guingamp >>> Lille wins

Lille ranks number 4 with 15 points and maybe if they didn’t lose two times in the last 3 stages, they probably would rank higher. Now, Rene Girard’s team has the possibility to add 3 more points because they will meet a pretty accessible opponent in this stage. Guingamp has only 6 points, which makes them the last team in France’s first league rank. They come after 4 consecutive defeats in which they scored one goal. But the hosts’ coach has most certainly pretty important problems that he has to deal with, considering that neither more nor less than 8 players can’t play in this match. The guests are far from being in a perfect phase. They can’t relay on M. Diallo and M. Samassa which are suspended, and J. Cardy is injured. Given this conditions the match could become pretty unpredictable, this is why we recommend you to think twice before you bet on this tip.

  • Metz – Rennes >>> Double chance: x2

If we look at the odds alone, this is the most balanced game of the stage. Like the match between Lille and Guingamp, this one as well can be pretty unpredictable because of the high number of players that can’t play for both teams. Metz and Rennes have 4 injured players each, but the hosts have also two players which are suspended. The most notable absentees of hosts are: Goalkeeper J. Carrasso, quarterback R. Metaniere, N’Daw and K. Lejeune, all being players which have played in the first eleven until they injured themselves. For the guests the absentees are notable as well. Overall we believe that the guests team is in better  shape, and they can profit and obtain at least one point. They didn’t have a pretty good season so far, but the come after a victory with 2-0 against Lens after 3 consecutive defeats.

  • Monaco – Evian TG >>> Evian TG scores

Monaco is not the same top team from the last season, and this thing can be easily seen if we look at their results, which are not that great, in fact they managed to obtain pretty modest results lately in championship. They rank 13 with 11 points, and will meet Evian in a time when the hosts play very well. Pascal Dupraz’s team obtained only one point in the first 6 stages, but then managed to win 3 times, so now they are one point behind their opponent. Evian scored 6 times in the last 3 matches and can score again. Monaco received 11 goals in the first 9 stages.

  • Nantes – Reims >>> Nantes wins

Nantes is a pretty constant team which performed good this season especially when they played home matches. Remis lost 3 out of the last 4 away matches played until now, in which they received 10 goals. On the other hand they managed to obtain a victory with 1-0 against Lorient in an away match. The guests of the match have some team problems. Goalkeeper Johnny Placide is the most notable absence of the guests. But they seem to be the better team right now, and we’ll bet on them, considering that they have the advantage of their own pitch. The two matches from the previous edition of championship ended in a draw.

  • Nice – Bastia >>> Nice wins

Only one point and one goal scored, this is how the statistics for the guest team looks like in the last 4 stages. Bastia managed to obtain only one point in the 4 away matches that they played this season, while Nice obtained 10 points in home matches in the last 5 matches. The hosts is in a superior shape and has the advantage of playing home, so we will bet on them in this match. The last match played by these teams on Alianz Riviera stadium in Nice ended with hosts victory (2-0).

  • Marseille – Toulouse >>> Marseille wins

Marseille is the surprise leader of France’s first league with 22 points, already being at 5 points margin from Bordeaux and 7 from PSG. Marcelo Bielsa managed to obtain one point in the first two stages, after which they win 7 times in a row. In the previous stage they were lucky, managing to win an away match against Caen with a goal scored in 90 minute. Toulouse come after 4 matches without defeat in which they managed to obtain two victories and hopes to interrupt hosts’ series of wins. However, Marseille seem to be the better team in this moment, and has the advantage of playing home, with all players apt to play in this match, and all in good shape, Gignac scoring nine times in championship.

  • Bordeaux – Caen >>> Bordeaux wins

Bordeaux ranks second in Liegue 1 with 17 points, but comes after a defeat against Reims (0-1). The match against Caen is a good occasion for the hosts to win some points and maintain their position in rank, because they will meet a team which managed to obtain only two points in the last 6 matches played. Bordeaux is a strong team, especially on their own pitch, obtaining 10 points in this season in the 4 matches played on Jacques Chaban-Delmas stadium. The problems is that the guests are unpredictable, they lost all 4 matches played home and away they managed to obtain 8 points in 5 matches. Bordeaux is the better team in this moment, and we don’t believe that the opponents away good game can compete with that.

  • Lyon – Montpellier >>> Lyon wins

The last match of this stage brings together two teams with 14 points each. Lyon had a pretty modest start this season, but this thing was due to the fact that their players suffered a lot of injures during this season. Now that they overcome this problems and the results have started to show they probably will play better. The hosts come after 5 consecutive matches without defeat, managing to win the last three matches played on Gerland stadium. Montpellier is not a bad team, but Lyon will mange to get all 3 points.
