Feliciano Lopez is in a good shape after winning the final at Eastbourne, being such a long break since he won a trophy. Now, in the first leg at Wimbledon, the Spanish player clearly has an advantage against Simon, especially after defeating him a few days ago. Even in London, Lopez played a good tournament, reaching into the semifinals of the competition, where he was eliminated by Cilic in three sets. At Eastbourne, Lopez encountered strong adversaries, such as Niminen, Monaco, Verdasco or Dodig and in London he surpassed Benneteau in the quarter finals, the French man being a good player on this type of surface. In all the 10 matches played by now on grass, Lopez lost just one. Feliciano Lopez has advanced three times in the quarter finals of this tournament, last time in 2011, but last year he was defeated in the first match. Lopez lays on the 39th place after his good performance at Eastbourne.
