After the victory obtained by Atletico against Real with the score of 4-0, the fight for the title remains. The “Galacticos” are the leaders, with a single point more above Barcelona and four above their rival Atletico. Today starts the 23sr stage of Primera Division and in the following lines we will try to offer the best tips from our point of view.
Our tip suggestions
Almeria – Real Sociedad >>> Tie
The first match of the stage is also the most balanced one, both teams having equal odds for an eventual victory. Almeria come from two victories in a row, but none of the opponents were strong (Getafe and Cordoba). It is hard to believe that this team can win their third consecutive victory, under the conditions that they only scored six victories throughout the entire season. On the other hand, Sociedad are the only team who haven’t won even a single away match in this Primera Division edition, but their still remain a strong opponent, managing to finish at a tie five of the ten matches played on an away pitch. Under these conditions, it is not excluded for the match to end undecided, this being a result that won’t disappoint either of the teams.

Sevilla – Cordoba >>> Over 1.5 gals Sevilla
Florin Andon’s team reached their third consecutive defeat in the championship, now being sat on the penultimate place in the ranking. Sevilla come from two defeats, the first one against Real Madrid was predictable, but the one against Getafe was unexpected. Still, the team prepared by Unai Emery is far superior from the value’s point of view and they have the advantage of their own pitch where they have been unbeatable. In fact, Sevilla are the only team from the championship who haven’t lost in front of their own fans, having eight victories and three ties. Because the odds for victory are low, we bet on the hosts will score at least twice, just as they have done in many matches so far.

Real Madrid – Deportivo >>> Over 2.5 goals Real Madrid
Real Madrid had a real shock in “El Derbi madrileño” against Atletico, suffering their most srastic defeat in the last years, 0-4. With their honor tained, Ancelotti’s “Galacticos” want to make amends through a victory against Deportivo, a team they crushed in the first leg with the unbelievable score of 8-2. Then Ronaldo managed the hat-trick and Bale with Hernández each a brace, the other goal being scored by Rodríguez. Deportivo lost a lot this season against stronger teams 1-4 against Sevilla, 1-4 against Malaga, 0-3 against Villarreal, 0-4 against Barcelona.

Granada – Athletic Bilbao >>> Under 2.5 goals
Granada are the weakest team from Primera Division with 18 points and the weakest attack, only 14 goals scored. Bilbao aren’t doing too well either, scoring up to now only 20 times. Only teams facing the relegation have such a weak performance. On the other hand, none of the two teams have a weak defense, reason for which they had more matches with a maximum of two goals, 15 and 14 (out of 22). Some of the exceptions appeared in the matches in which they received a lot, but this probably won’t be the case here because the value difference is small. In the first leg Granada won with the score of 1-0.

Malaga – Espanyol >>> Victory Malaga
Malaga suffered a painful defeat in the last stage, being humiliated by Levante, 1.4 after opening the score. Likewise, Malaga have had a modest performance lately for a team that not long ago was hoping to finish on a place that might allow them to play in the European Cups. The good news is that now comes a match against Espanyol, a team that can’t play well on an away pitch. Although they are sat on the ninth place in Primera Division, Sergio González’s team only won five points in the away matches had this season, being on the last place in the ranking of the away matches. Malaga can take advantage of this thing and we bet on them.
Odds: 1.90

Valencia – Getafe >>> Victory Valencia
Getafe have had a modest performance lately, but they obtained two important victories against Celta Vigo and Sevilla, results that keep her above the relegation line. Valencia are strong opponents, especially on their own pitch and normally, they shouldn’t have any problems. The team coached by the Portuguese Nuno Espírito Santo had nine victories and a tie throughout the 11 matches played in front of their own fans, while Getafe suffered fore defeats in the last sic stages. Any result besides the “bat’s” victory would come as a surprise. In the first leg, Valencia won.

Barcelona – Levante >>> Over 3.5 goals Barcelona
The hosts are in an excellent shape and they come from ten consecutive victories in all the competitions. In five of them, the “aliens” scored at least four times and in other four they scored three times. Levante have one of the weakest defense from Primera Division so there are high chances for them to lose on Camp Nou. Likewise, Luis Enrique’s team won in the first leg with the score of 5-0. In the last five direct matches Levante received 22 goals and they can receive four more this time.
Odds: 1.67

Rayo Vallecano – Villarreal >>> Villarreal (0)
The hosts suffered four defeats in the last five stages. The match against Villarreal doesn’t seem an easy one that the other ones had so far, considering that the “yellow submarine” haven’t been defeated only by Barcelona in the last 21 official matches. The difference between the shape of the two teams is too high to choose another tip than the victory of the guests. Just to be on the safe side, we bet on a tip with a refundable stake in case of a tie, but you can also try a clear victory at odds of 2.05.

Celta Vigo – Atletico Madrid >>> Victory Atletico Madrid
Atletico managed last stage to offer a fantastic victory against the great rival, Real (4-0). Simeone’s team got four points closer to the first place and anything can happen in the fight for the title. Spain’s champion shouldn’t make any more wrong steps in the matches against smaller teams if they want to have real chances of defending their trophy. Celta Vigo seem to have recovered after a period in which they had only disastrous results, they only won a single points in nine stages. Now, Manuel Berizzo’s team come from a victory against Cordoba and a tie against Sociedad and even so, they are opponents easy to defeat by Atletico.
Odds: 1.91

Eibar – Elche >>> Tie
The stage ends on Monday with a match between two teams at seven points margin in the ranking. Eibar come from three defeats in a row while Elche won nine points in the last five stages. The match seems to be a balanced one, even if the bookmakers see the hosts as favorite with odds of 2 for an eventual victory. We think that anything can happen during this confrontation and it is not worth betting on low odds. We bet on a tie, a plausible result considering the odds.
