Today will start the male tournaments Marseille, Rio de Janeiro, Delray Beach and the female ones from Dubai, Rio de Janeiro. For today we chose the following matches, Teymuraz Gabashvili – Aleksandr Dolgopolov, Borna Coric – Denis Istomin and Karolina Pliskova – Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

The fully trust Borna Coric who we believe to win at least a set in the match against Denis Istomin, in the first Marseille tournament played in hard indoor court. Being at their first direct match, Coric and Istomin can’t say that they had a good start to the season, considering that Borna won a single match from the five played, while Istomin won two from the seven played. From pur point of view, Istomin’s odds are pretty high considering that he didn’t have a good performance in 2015 or at the end of 2014, unlike Coric who actually played well at the end of last year. The Croatian player has a good serve and the surface from Marseille will help him a lot, likewise, he has a good defense which will pose some problems for Istomin.

WTA Dubai | Karolina Pliskova – Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova | Victory Pliskova

The semifinalist of the recently closed tournament from Antwerp, Karolina Pliskova (rank 22 WTA) will have a difficult mission in the first round of the Dubai tournament, played on hard outdoor court against the Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. The two tennis players haven’t met before, but at this moment Pliskova is at a higher level than her opponent. Besides the fact that the Russian hasn’t played too many matches this year (only two which she lost), the Czech player had 14 out of which she win 10, but she did disappoint last year on hard court, with 11 victories and 13 defeats, while Pliskova had the best year of her entire career, 35 victories and 19 defeats. Pliskova showed a high quality tennis game at Antwerp and if she continues the performance at Dubai, she will probably win today.

ATP Delray Beach | Teymuraz Gabashvili – Aleksandr Dolgopolov | +1.5 sets Gabashvili

The 17th edition of the Delray Beach tournament will debut this year with the match between Gabashvili and Dolgopolov. We decided to bet on Gabashvili winning at least a set because he had always passed before the first and second round of this tournament in all his five attendances, playing well on this surface. The Ukrainian didn’t pass the first round when he participated, but the Russian plays against an opponent who hasn’t completely recovered after the long absence last year, winning a single match this year. Gabashvili serves well and it is known that the American surfaces are fast and Dolgopolo is hard to anticipate. Being a quarter-finalist last year, Gabashvili can surprise us in this match.
