The Over 2.5 and Even goals betting strategy explained

The Over 2.5 goals/ Even goals strategy or simply Over/Even strategy means betting on football events so as after a a few favorable results, to register a profit with minimal risks. Over all, the strategy is easy to apply, but it is inefficient for obtaining the wanted results. Apart from applying this strategy, the bettor has to gather up information and to analyze as many events as possible. What does this strategy imply? It implies finding the bets of over 2.5 goals that have for the same tip minimum odds of 2.00 – 2.10.

How does the Over 2.5 goals/ Even goals strategy work?

1) You carefully analyze the offer of the bookmaker. It is recommended to analyze all the soccer matches from which you extract every day the bets worth to be played. For this reason we said that the strategy won’t be enough, you also need luck and time. In order to make the analysis go faster, we recommend you to filter all the over 2.5 tips that have minimum odds of 2.10 after which you start the proper analysis.

2) After making a correct analysis of all the matches and you remain with the only ones worth to play at over 2.5 goals on odds minimum of 2.10, comes the actual betting. For each match you bet 0.9 units on the 2.5 goals tip and 1.1 units on the Even goals tip (this tip has in 99% of the cases the odds of 1.90). The total investment for the tips is of 2 units. The unit will be calculated by each bettor according to the available bank roll.

What do I win/lose with the Over 2.5 goals/ Even goals strategy?

In order to help you understand this strategy, we will offer you an example, you will be the judge how advantageous or risky it is.

Example: We choose a match for which the tip of over 2.5 goals has odds of 2.10 and we will invest the total sum of 190 units. We bet 90 on Over 2.5 (odds of 2.10) and 100 on Even goals (odds of 1.90). The eventual winnings will be of 189 units (over) and 190 units (even goals).

Look what are the possibilities (final score):

0-0 – Win 190 (even)

1-0 – Lose 190

2-0 – Win 190 (even)

1-1 – Win 190 (even)

0-1 – Lose 190

0-2 – Win 190 (even)

2-1 – Win 189 (over)

3-0 – Win 189 (over)

1-2 – Win 189 (over)

0-3 – Win 189 (over)

2-2 – Win 379 (even+over)

3-1 – Win 379 (even+over)

4-0 – Win 379 (even+over)

1-3 – Win 379 (even+over)

0-4 – Win 379 (even+over)

5-0, 4-1, 3-2, 2-3, 1-4, 5-0 – Win 189 (over)

6-0, 5-1, 4-2, 3-3, 2-4, 1-5, 0-6 – Win 379 (even+over)

7 goals – Win 189 (over)

8 goals – Win 379 (even+over)

In other words, the Over 2.5 / Even goals strategy can bring us a double winning for the results with over and even goals (2-2, 3-1, 4-0, 1-3, 0-4; results with 6 goals; results with 8 goals), we only lose the entire sum for results such as 1-0 and 0-1 and we do not lose anything for the rest of the scored.

Is it worth the risk of hoping for outcomes with 4, 6 or 8 goals?

It is clearly that the situations with 6 or 8 are rarer, but the results with 4 goals scored happen quite often. One of the most common soccer results is of 2-1, but this is the first step to a final score of 4 goals. A result of 2-1 makes the team to attack for the tie and the other to look for the safe victory. The risk for results such as 1-0 and 0-1 is pretty high under the conditions in which we bet on odds of 2.10 at over 2.5 goals. This is the reason we said in the beginning that this strategy is based on knowledge and the bettor’s luck.

Good luck!
