WTA Moscow 15.10.2014: Free tennis tips and predictions

WTA Moscow hold today the last two matches form the first tour and another for from 16th rounds stage (in single), plus another 3 matches in double competition. Irina-Camelia Begu will have a difficult match against the second favorite player of the tournament – Ekaterina Makarova – even though, in tennis can happen almost anything, and the player from Russia will probably won’t give it best because she’s probably getting ready for the Champions Tournament, where she qualified for the double competition with Elena Vesnina.

  We have reasons to believe that Irina Begu will manage to make a great match, managing to win at leas one set in today’s match! We say this because we believe that the her game from the opening round against Donnei Vekic (7:6 1:6 6:3) was a pretty aggressive one and exact, mostly on the forehand. The Russian player on the other hand, didn’t play a match on hard indoor for two seasons, and since 2009 until now managed to obtain a single victory on this court, in a single competition (and that in the qualifying rounds in 2010). In the previous 7 presences at WTA Moscow, the Russian player didn’t manage to pass the 16th rounds.

• Kichenok L. / Savchuk O. – Mattek B. / Tomljanovic A. ► Kichenok L./ Savchuk O will win.

  A possible victory for Lyudmyla Kichenok and Olga Savchuk is possible and won’t surprise us so much, given the fact that they show the whole season that they play excellent together, even though in single matches they didn’t manage to score great results. They played together for the first time at WTA Kuala Lumpur, managing to get to the second last act. Bethanie Mattek-Sands is a former number 11 world wide at double, but in this season she didn’t manage to play so well (she chose to stay with family). Horia Tecau’s former colleague of double-mix has Ajila Tomljanovic as partner, one of the most talented player, but inconsistent as well. We have to say that until now, Bethanie Mattek-Sans and Ajla Tomljanovic hadn’t play any matches together, forming one team.

• Flavia Pennetta (ITA) – Camila Giorgi (ITA) ► Camila Giorgi will win 

  100% italian match in WTA Moscow’s 16th rounds, from which we believe that Camila Giorgi will win, we say this because this type of court is in her favor (comes after the final on hard indoor court at WTA Linz and after a victory in the openings at WTA Moscow against Lesyei Tsurenko) but also because Flavia Pennetta hadn’t play a single match on hard indoor from about three seasons! On this season she tried to focus on the double competitions – with Martin Hingis – but she managed to obtain only the 9th place and they will only be the first option for “Champions Tournament”. Today’s shape is more important, so we believe that Camilei Giorgi will win this match.
